Sedimentary, Metamorphic, And Igneous Rocks By Sarah Gabrielle Keith, Aaron Painter, Alex O’ Conner Sedimentary Rock • The Sedimentary rock is made of layers of • • • • • different sediment. The rock also has some sort of powder on it and has lots of sparkles and is was a little heavy. The rock is also white and it is very flaky and it looks like a crystal. It is also very bumpy but smooth. It also was heavy because it is dense. And the rock looks like dried up sand. It is made from other minerals. Igneous rocks • Igneous rocks are formed when lava is cooled above ground and turns into these rocks granite, scoria, pumice, obsidian. • The edges of this rock is very sharp • It can look glossy or very rough • And some can be full of holes Metamorphic Rock • This rock is formed from in which is when the magma is melted and turns into lava. • Then the lava shoots though the hole in the top of the volcano. • And when the lava touches water it cools down and turns into a rock. • Example of Metamorphic rocks. Conclusion • In all of our research we have came to the conclusion that our rock is Metamorphic.
