A collection S of linear operators on a vector space X is transitive if for every two non-zero vectors x and y in X there is an operator A in S such that Ax = y. Usually S is taken to be a subalgebra or a subspace of L(X). We investigate several conditions related to transitivity, and establish relations between them.
