Using the SAG method
SAG method of factoring

Start your brackets off with the same coefficient
as your beginning number
Multiply the first and last numbers in the problem
Determine which two factors will multiply to give
you that number and add to be the middle
number and fill them in
Determine if you can take out a GCF from either
bracket
Throw it away!
Check using FOIL
Example: 6x2 - 7x - 3

6 x -3 = -18
