Series Current
Since there is only one path for the current,
the current in a series circuit is the same
everywhere.
Series Voltage Drops
In a series circuit the sum of the voltage
drops across each resistor or device is equal
to the potential difference applied across the
combination (i.e. the battery voltage).

Series Resistance
The total resistance of resistors in series is the
sum of the individual resistances.

Parallel Current
In a parallel circuit the total current through
the battery is equal to the sum of the current
through the branches.

Parallel Resistance
The inverse of the total resistance of resistors
in parallel is the sum of the inverses of the
individual resistances.
