What is a wiki?
Let’s take a look at a “quick” video . . . by the
way “wiki” means “quick” in Hawaiian.


Who should register? Teachers
Does the site require an email address to browse
wikis on the site? It depends. If the wiki is public,
then you do not need an account to browse on the
site. If it's private, you need to be a member of
Wikispaces to join and view the wiki.
Does the site require an email address to create an
account? Yes.
Are there privacy settings available? Yes.
Wild and Wonderful Widgets


One awesome feature of a wiki is the ability
to include a widget. A widget is a small
snippet of code that allows users to view or
manipulate text or information on a website.
Videos, interactive quizzes and polls as well
as animated text can be embedded in a wiki
through the use of widgets.
Ex. Glogster, Teacher Tube videos, Google
Calendars


It improves searches by allowing users to
