GROUP SELECTION
1. Students must be grouped in sets of fours;
2. Each group must assign responsibilities:
– Group Leader
– Group Reporter
– Group Researcher
– Group Illustrator
3. Write all group members names on a
sheet of paper.
GROUP RESPONSIBILITIES
• The responsibilities of a:
– GROUP LEADER is to ensure that the group stays
on task and completes the objective.
– GROUP REPORTER is to document the work being
done within the group so that it may be turned in
for a grade.
– GROUP RESEARCHER is to gather /compile all
information that must be investigated.
– GROUP ILLUSTRATOR must develop visual aids,
drawings, and diagrams for the group.
GROUP ACTIVITY:
Graphic Organizers
• Groups will be responsible for defining three Core
Technologies using a graphic organizer to display
applications associated with those technologies.
• Students must engage in dialog with their group
members to exchange a flow of ideas about the
applications of technologies and their impacts on
society.
• Each group is expected to display a poster board that
captures their group discussions and graphic
organizers so that the class may learn from the
individual groups.
ASSIGNMENT
• Students/groups are expected to present their
posters to the class and express the ideas that were
challenging in this exercise.
• Each group must participate in the wrap-up activity
in order to receive a grade. All group members must
have some input into the presentation in order to
receive maximum credit.
• Groups are expected to answer questions presented
to them by the teacher or class.

GROUP PRESENTATIONS
• Meet with your group members to organize your
presentations.
• Each student is given three to five minutes to present
the career they have selected.
• All students must present to receive full credit.
• You have ten minutes to prepare your presentations.
PRESENTATIONS:
Grading Rubric
• Speech (Oral Presentation) 25 points – Speaking
clearly, use of proper language, tone and volume of
your voice, etc.
• Knowledge of Information 25 points – Speaking
without reading, valuable and pertinent
information delivered, etc.
• Body Language 25 points – Focused on the
audience, eye contact, rocking, talking with hands,
etc.
• Professionalism 25 points – Chewing gum,
laughing/joking while presenting, etc.
