Examples of ISP’s are AOL, BT, Tiscali Credit DOWNLOADING SOFTWARE 3 types of software available for download Commercial Software It must be paid for to be used Shareware Software Trial period then has to be paid for e.g. after 30 days Freeware Software Totally free and can be used on any number of computer systems MOBILE INTERNET TECHNOLOGIES The use of portable hardware to connect to the internet Laptop Are mobile internet technology examples VIDEO CONFERENCING Using internet links to conduct meetings Meetings can take place between people who are large distances apart Hardware required is – – webcam & screen microphone & speakers Saves fuel, travel time but do not meet people face to face That’s all folks!
