March 7, 2006 Medicare Part D Assistance Event Scheduled (Tuscaloosa) - Shelton State Community College is hosting a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (Medicare Part D) Enrollment Event at its Martin Campus, 9500 Old Greensboro Road on Wednesday, March 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in partnership with the Alabama Department of Senior Services and the West Alabama Area Agency on Ageing. Senior citizens on Medicare must select a prescription plan by May of this year and sign up for benefits. People should call 1-800-AGELINE (1-800-243-5463) to schedule an appointment. Each counseling session will last about 30 minutes. The event will take place in the Compass Testing Room (Room 1826) across the hall from the Bean-Brown Theatre.
