Pneumonia
• Fluid buildup in lung alveoli
• Thickens respiratory interface, interrupting
diffusion of gases
• Caused by a wide variety of microorganisms
including aspergillus and pneumocystis fungi,
influenza virus (Tamiflu), cytomegalovirus
(Vistide)
