Slow down the operations of the brain. The depress the heart
beat, blood pressure, and many other processes controlled by
the brain.
CNS Stimulants
Ex. Cocaine, Methamphetamine
Stimulants accelerate the heart-rate and elevate the blood
pressure, and “speed up” or over-stimulate many processes of the
body
Hallucinogens
Ex. LSD, MDMA, Mushrooms
Hallucinogens usually cause the user to perceive things
differently than they actually are.
Phencyclidine aka: PCP
Ex. Ketamine, Animal Tranquilizers)
PCP produces impairments and other observable effects on the
human mind and body that are a combination of effects
