PEOPLES WAY OF LIFE!
• Most rural Congolese live in small villages
that range in size from a few dozen to a few
hundred
• They raise almost all their own food,
including cassava, corn, and rice. Some
rural people also catch fish.
• Few families can afford farm machinery,
and most use hand tools. As a result,
farm production is low, and most farm
families are poor.
