- Agriculture is and has been improving in the recent
years.
- Government aide in converting large portions of
desert into fertile crop growing fields.
- Irrigation projects and large scale mechanization.
- Saudi Arabia’s main exports are wheat, dates, dairy
products, eggs, fish, poultry, fruits, and vegetables.

- It has a strong oil-based economy with strong
government control.
- Saudi Arabia possesses 18% of the world’s proven
petroleum reserves.
- It also plays a leading role in OPEC.

- Women’s rights are improving recently.
- Women have not been able to vote until recently
when King Abdullah has declared that they will be
aloud to vote in the 2015 local elections.
- Saudi Arabia is the only country where women are not
aloud to drive.

workforce and make up 16.5% of the overall
workforce.
