PUB‐NLH‐360 Island Interconnected System Supply Issues and Power Outages Page 1 of 1 1 Q. Asset Management 2 Does Hydro have any underground/submarine transmission lines? If yes, state how 3 many and where they are located and who maintains and replaces them. 4 5 6 A. Hydro's response to DD‐NLH‐068 provides a listing of all Hydro’s 7 underground/submarine cables at the distribution voltage levels. At present, Hydro 8 does not own any underground or submarine cable as part of its main transmission 9 system on the Island portion of the province. However, Hydro does utilize a 10 number of short, underground sections of 66 kV class cable at its Holyrood Thermal 11 Generating Station to connect the 66 kV winding of 230/66 kV transformer T10 and 12 the 66 kV windings of 66/41.6 kV station service transformers SST‐12 and SST‐34 to 13 the 66 kV buses B6 and B7. These 66 kV cables are maintained by Transmission and 14 Rural Operations personnel.
