People are the Lemurs predator. They take them to there house and keep them as pets. Then eventually they die because the are not in there habitat. The Ruffed Lemur is critically in danger. There are 10-15 individuals per square mile. They are increasing more and more everyday. The Ruffed Lemur is endangered because people are cutting down trees where the lemurs live. The farmers are also burning the trees down so they could have more land to farm on. We are keeping them in zoos until the have young. Then they release them into the wild. It lives up to 18 years. To communicate they make a loud screeching noise. There are usually 2-15 or more lemurs in a group at once. The Black and White Ruffed Lemur is the biggest lemur ever.
