– Everything that affects an organism
• What is ecology?
– The study of the interactions between
organisms and their environment.
• Biotic Factors:
– living parts of the environment such as
plants and animals.
• Abiotic Factors:
– nonliving parts of the environment such as
climate, soil type, and air.
