Sun’s magnetic field
• For ejection from the north pole of the sun, magnetic field is parallel to
motion of planet, so there is no curving force.
• For ejection at equator of sun, magnetic field is perpendicular to motion of
planet, so there is a strong curving force, creating the possibility of an
orbiting planet.
