(Vice President for Administration Services, Moultrie Technical College) provided
professional advice on any questions or information we needed throughout the
project.

Constructed in 1964

Unit of Georgia Dept. of Technical and Adult
Education
◦ As Moultrie Area Vocational-Technical School
◦ Renamed: November 20, 2000
◦ Staff: 140+ full-time
110 part-time
◦ Enrollment: 2000+
 Serves: Colquitt, Tift, Turner, and Worth counties
 Strives to promote:
 Individual student development
 Improve quality of life in communities they serve

Moultrie Technical College currently uses Excel to
manage their physical assets. With five campuses
within a four county region, it has become difficult
to effectively track their assets from a single set of
spreadsheets.

This has created the need for a unified, globally
accessible database-driven system. A feature that
Moultrie has allocated is to facilitate an internal
transfer or a location change, with an approval
process.

We compiled the current spreadsheets into a single
user-friendly database called Microsoft Access.
◦ Also provided is a search and update capability to
more efficiently manage and track inventory across
campuses.
◦ Current inventory of Moultrie Technical College:
 Furniture items
 Campus locations
 Department inventory
 Asset management data
 Vehicle Inventory

Overview video

◦ Fluent user interface.
◦ Easy tracking of information.
◦ Ability to collect and update form information
directly from the source.
◦ Accessibility to and use of information from
multiple sources.
◦ Easy to learn its use and manage.

departments in each of
their campuses
Enhanced security by
implementing a
user/password
function
Streamlined
information
Activity control


deliverables, milestones,
and an actual client.

Enhanced team-building
skills.

Experience with what it is
like to work for an actual
business or company.

applicable skills for
everyday business
problems and became
more familiar with client
interaction and database
design and
implementation.

