Convention on a budget. Share Your Room! At $119 each night, four people can occupy one room for about $35 a night with tax! If you live close enough…..maybe you can commute to Lincolnshire every day! • Keeping meals at the minimum – Pack some cereal bars, light snacks or even juice boxes. • The More the Merrier… – Car pool, share cab rides, doing things as a group is always less expensive. • Take advantage of the Saturday night options like: – Navy Pier. $18 to get there and back and dinner at the economical food court, free fireworks and fun. – Ravinia – Tickets are being offered at a $5 discount! • Register for the Whole Convention, not just one day – It may seem like a good idea to pay the daily fee, but then you have to pay for extras like the luncheon or the dinner of honors….it a MUCH better deal to register for the entire convention. Pumps or Flats? The Art of Packing Wisely Flats - The dress code is business attire, however, you will be on your feet, walking to many events throughout the hotel. At least one formal dress or gown. The Dinner Of Honors is very formal, however you may want some concert attire as well. All you need is one or two casual outfits. If you choose to go out on the town you’ll want to be wearing your favorite SAI sweatshirt or t-shrit! Your Cutest PJ’s for the movie! Your Camera! DON’T FORGET YOUR PIN!!!! There are fleas where? & Other Things To Know One Book…One Sisterhood This is going to be a nice “extra” during convention. Order the book on the Affinity Link on the national website. Read the book prior to convention so you can enjoy the benefits! • Phlea Phlam and other shopping The first time I heard “Phlea Phlam” I had no idea what people were talking about! Bring plenty of cash for those fun little extras. There will also be plenty of SAI wardrobe attire and jewelry as well. Other things to know about…. Bring your song books for Sunday night’s fraternity sing! Bring your own music for open mic night or start working on a group number You’re probably going to want to take notes at the workshops…bring some “school supplies” Getting a lay of the land.
