Akamai to Acquire Netli
Akamai Technologies, Inc. is acquiring Netli, Inc. whose application acceleration solutions improve the
performance of Web- and other Internet-based applications. Akamai and Netli's combined managed
services will seek to address two important market segments identified by industry analysts - application
delivery controllers and WAN optimization controllers. By combining Netli's high performance
communications protocol with Akamai's massive global scale and unique capabilities to route Internet
traffic around points of congestion, Akamai expects to offer businesses the most comprehensive and
effective managed services for accelerating applications.

HP Acquires Bristol Technology
HP is acquiring Bristol Technology Inc., a leading provider of technologies that monitor business
transactions. Bristol Technology's solutions help customers monitor complex business transactions
occurring within their organization, such as insurance claim processes, product orders and inventory
management, across heterogeneous and distributed IT environments. The technology complements HP's
recent acquisition of Mercury, enables end-to-end management of real-time business transactions, and
extends HP Business Availability Center capabilities to the mainframe. For the first time, customers will
have a single software vendor that enables them to manage end-to-end business transactions, beginning
with end-users all the way through custom applications and mainframe environments.

Root Markets Acquires LeadROI
Root Markets Inc., which operates commodities exchange for trading and monetizing Internet-generated
consumer leads, acquired LeadROI, Inc., provider of fully-integrated mortgage lead and customer
relationship management system. LeadROI will operate as Root LeadROI, a subsidiary of Root Markets.
Together, the companies will offer unique end-to-end solutions designed to close the loop between lead
generation and lead conversion and enhance the value of purchased leads, which will allow the lead

PRIMEDIA Acquires RentalHouses.com
PRIMEDIA Inc. Consumer Guides Segment acquired RentalHouses.com, America's second largest
online marketplace for small unit rental properties. Small unit rental properties, which represent
approximately 85% of the U.S. apartment rental market range from rental homes to complexes with up to
50 units. Large unit rental properties, which are served by Consumer Source's market-leading Apartment
Guide and ApartmentGuide.com, are complexes with greater than 50 rental units. Effective immediately,
the apartment listings on Consumer Source's RentalHouses.com, HomeRentalAds.com (acquired June
2006), RentClicks.com, and ApartmentGuide.com are accessible via the Company's Rentals.com
website, which now carries an estimated 62% of all paid small unit rental listings on the Internet.

Edentify Acquires Zelcom Group

provider of data analytics solutions. The acquisition adds Zelcom's advanced data analysis service to

General Atlantic Acquires Network Solutions
General Atlantic is acquiring Network Solutions, a leading provider of online solutions for small
businesses from Najafi Companies (formerly Pivotal Private Equity). Network Solutions, which Najafi
Companies purchased from VeriSign Inc. in November 2003, was the first company acquired by the
newly formed private equity firm. During its tenure with Najafi Companies, Network Solutions transformed
itself from a domain registrar to a leading provider of online services and solutions for small business

realestate.com.au Ltd Acquires atHome Real Estate Websites
Today the REA Group (realestate.com.au Ltd) announced the signing of its third European acquisition in
14 months, the atHome group of real estate sites. atHome operates five real estate sites covering
Luxembourg (residential and commercial sites), the Wallonie region of Belgium, the Lorraine region of
France, and the Trier region of Germany. Over 500 agents use the sites; the business is profitable and is
rapidly growing. The acquisition of the atHome group of sites continues to build out REA’s European
operations by providing it with a presence in four new markets. The high quality of the local management
team is also an attractive element of this acquisition.

Gomez Acquires Sysformance AG
Gomez, Inc., provider of web application experience management, is acquiring Sysformance AG, a
privately held Internet performance monitoring company based in Zurich, Switzerland. Gomez will acquire
all of the outstanding equity of Sysformance, which will now be known as Sysformance, a Gomez
Company. Through this acquisition, Gomez strengthens its platform for growth in Europe and solidifies its
position as the largest software as a service (SaaS)-based web application performance and experience
management company in continental Europe. Gomez adds more than 180 new European companies to
its global customer base, increases its network coverage by more than 300 percent in Europe, and adds
additional new performance management experts to the Gomez team. Finally, Gomez gains expertise in

RealNetworks Acquires Atrativa
RealNetworks, Inc. developer, publisher and distributor of casual games, acquired Sao Paulo, Brazilbased Atrativa, the most visited casual games site in South America. Additionally, Real reinforced its

Polycom To Acquire SpectraLink Corporation
Polycom, Inc., provider of unified collaborative communications solutions, is acquiring SpectraLink Corp.,
a provider of workplace wireless telephony. The SpectraLink acquisition extends Polycom’s leading IPbased collaboration solution to the rapidly growing mobility environment. Leveraging its strength in
Polycom voice over IP (VoIP) solutions, the company believes this combination yields the key strategic
synergy of uniquely positioning Polycom as the only independent provider of both fixed and mobile

Caritor Acquiring Keane
Caritor Inc. is acquiring Keane Inc. and will convert the publicly held company to private ownership to
create a 14,000-employee global provider of information technology services. Caritor said it would finance
the acquisition by borrowing and by selling a stake in the company to Citigroup Venture Capital. The
combined company is expected to generate more than $1 billion in annual revenue by providing
outsourcing services to other firms to improve their business processes and use of information
technology. Clients require strong, locally based consulting and client service combined with the flexibility
and cost-effectiveness of a broad range of global IT services. The combination of Caritor and Keane will
offer clients these comprehensive services.

Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies Acquires Performance Network Engineering
SGT, Inc. is acquiring PNE. The combination of these two companies' resources will create a network

SGT, Inc. to move into additional government and commercial markets with a continued focus on

Wayport Acquires ResortWiFi, LLC
Wayport, Inc., an international player in the design and integration of applications and software over Wi-Fi
carrier grade networks, acquired ResortWiFi, a Wi-Fi Internet services provider focusing predominantly on
the upscale timeshare industry. Wayport has served the hospitality market since 1997 and today provides
services to prestigious hotel brands in 32 countries worldwide. Wayport expects to move quickly to
integrate many of the more than 40 service contracts acquired in the transaction into Wayport's existing
network, which will complement and broaden Wayport's existing relationships with the interval ownership
industry.

EMC (RSA) to Acquire Valyd
EMC Corp. is acquiring Valyd Software Pvt. Ltd., a Hyderabad, India based vendor of software for
securing enterprise data. Valyd's software will be brought into RSA, the security division of EMC, which
was set up last year to integrate products from its acquisition of RSA Security Inc. and Network
Intelligence Corp. Valyd's technology for encrypting and securing data at the database and file system
level will lead to the introduction of two new products from the RSA division. A focus of the RSA division
is on products that manage and secure enterprise-wide information assets regardless of where they
reside on the network. Valyd's technology, which runs on a large variety of operating systems and
database systems, fitted well into this strategy

Capgemini Acquires Software Architects
Capgemini SA, one of the world's foremost IT services providers is acquiring fellow services provider,
Software Architects Inc. Software Architects, a 500-employee company with revenues of $68 million in
2006, will be folded into Sogeti USA LLC, a subsidiary of Capgemini. After the announcement of the
acquisition of Kanbay International, this new acquisition confirms the Capgemini’s commitment to
strengthening its positioning in the US market. Software Architects’s core competency is built on four
domains: project management, architecture, technology and business requirements definition. The
company also has a strong focus on Microsoft and IBM technology solutions. By joining forces with the
Software Architects team, the company will be able to fortify its geographical presence in key US cities.

Cisco Acquires Five Across
Cisco Systems Inc. has acquired Five Across, a small social networking company that allows businesses
to add user-interaction functions and multimedia-sharing capabilities to their Web sites. Five Across'
publishing platform allows users to create personal Web pages and post photos, videos and audio clips,
much like the proprietary system used by News Corp.'s MySpace. Cisco said the acquisition, its 116th
since 1993, is its first in the social networking space but likely not the last. The acquisition helps further
Cisco's expansion beyond its role as purely a network equipment provider and into helping distribute the
media that drives bandwidth consumption and even more network upgrades. Cisco has been rapidly
expanding by acquiring companies that capitalize on the products and services that utilize the network
itself. The Five Across acquisition could help Cisco win greater access to a wide range of companies,
particularly those in media and entertainment, looking to upgrade their Web sites to connect with
customers.

BT to acquire INS
BT is acquiring International Network Services Inc. (“INS”), a leading global provider of IT consulting and
software solutions. This professional services acquisition will increase BT's presence in North America

Patria to acquire Tekla's Defense Business
Patria is acquiring Finland-based Tekla's Defense business. Tekla is a leading international software
company whose software solutions make customers' core businesses more effective in building and
construction, energy distribution and in municipalities. Tekla's Defense business employs over 20 persons
and it is located in Espoo, Finland. The deal will strengthen Patria's competence at its Systems and
Services Business Segment especially regarding the systems the company develops for defense and
