Provide
Indicates to “Furnish” and “Install” product mentioned.

Furnish

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Product and associated items required for proper installation shall be manufactured for
the purpose and shall be of the same manufacturer.
DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING
A.
Contractor shall be responsible to make certain that materials are not delivered until the
space for installation is sufficiently complete, clean, and secured for installation.

Delivery coordination and acceptance, material storage, and handling of product shall be
the responsibility of the contractor.
C.
Coordinate site storage of product with the Construction Manager.
PROJECT / SITE CONDITIONS
A.
Drawing measurements and product placement are to be field verified prior to product
installation. Any conflict with the proper installation and/or placement of product is to be
brought to the attention of the Construction Manager prior to installation.
B.
Product installed improperly or not to the design and/or intent of the design without the
written approval by the Construction Manager will be corrected at the expense of the
Security Contractor.

A.

3.0 EXECUTION
3.01
GENERAL
A.
Routing of all security system wires and cables in an independent low voltage security
conduit system.
B.
The system is to be a programmable network IP system that works in unison with the
existing Olivet Nazarene University IP access control security system. The system has
but is not limited to:
1.
System controller box for system programming and network activation located in
the Network Data Room associated with the floor.
2.
Card reader door activation.
3.
A ceiling mounted motion sensor to “Block” the door alarm during exit.
a.
Motion sensor is not to release the door latch.
4.
Door frame magnetic contact.
5.
Low voltage cable routed back to the Network Data Room associated with the floor
installed within a security conduit system.

System programming onto the Olivet Nazarene University access security system to be
provided by the contractor.
D.
Entry into areas with secured doors is to be limited to persons with a valid activation card.
Refer to the security floor plan drawings for access control door locations.
E.
The system controller box interfaces with the existing Olivet Nazarene University access
control IP network program allowing for flexible programming of card activation and door
monitoring.
F.
System controller boxes are to be wall mounted to the plywood backboard located in the
Network Data Room.
G.
Contractor to coordinate mounting locations with the Olivet Nazarene University prior to
installation.
