established in the 1960s and the number one
supplier of first aid kits to industry in this state.
We cater for all your First Aid needs from home
or car kits, to full industrial and worksite first
aid equipment and supplies. We are up to
date on the latest Work, Health & Safety Act
and ensure that our clients are as well.
Free Restocking Service
Rescue and Oxygen
We have a fleet of fully equipped service
vans on the road from Monday to Friday.
Our qualified staff make regular calls
onsite to monitor and top up your first aid
requirements. This service is free of charge
to our valued clients. We ensure you have
everything you need to be covered legally.
We offer a large range of rescue equipment,
that caters for every type of situation from
emergency rescue organisations to sporting
clubs. We also supply all types of medical
oxygen equipment including oxygen
trolleys – taking the risk out of manual
handling large medical oxygen cylinders.
First Aid Products
We supply a huge range of quality first
aid kits designed to suit small and large
workplaces, office, vehicles and remote
locations. There are also a range of specific
modules including a burn injury module,
outdoor module and remote module.
First Aid Training
We work in partnership with
AUSCompliance Pty Ltd to provide first
aid training courses. Discounts apply to
current St James First Aid customers.
Office Catering
We offer a free of charge, 3 day a week
door to door delivery service on catering
supplies for your office or home. Products
include consumables such as toilet
paper, hand towel, coffee, tea bags,
sugar, milk and much more which are
all available at wholesale prices. We can
also supply cleaning chemicals, bins,
brooms, mops and mop buckets.
Other products include nebulisers,
defibrillators, resuscitation equipment,
oxygen diving equipment, medical
regulators and more. Our customer
base includes private home patients,
doctor’s surgeries, veterinary clinics,
dental surgeries, nursing homes,
medical centres and hospitals.
The other section of our business is
medical engineering, not to be taken
lightly. Oxygen in the medical industry can
be the difference between life and death.
To keep everything working smoothly,
you need someone you can trust.
Medical engineering includes the servicing
of all oxygen equipment including flow
meters and oxygen regulators, nebulisers
and other respiratory equipment.

Low Voltage Rescue
This course is designed to train any person in
how to respond to First Aid emergencies that may
happen in the office, at home or elsewhere.
In some low risk workplaces, basic emergency
response including CPR may be sufficient.
However, if there is any doubt then Apply First
Aid should be the minimum requirement.
The requirements for electrical workers to be trained
in low voltage rescue and resuscitation came into
place on December 1 2013. Our course covers the
requirements for low voltage rescue and resuscitation
as outlined by the Office of the Technical Regulator.

AED Defibrillator
Investing in an Automatic External
Defibrillator (AED) is a great step forward,
because it can increase the chance of
survival for witnessed Cardiac Arrest
from 5% to 85% – when combined with
the other links in the chain of survival.
But most models on the market will
leave you vulnerable on your ability
to ensure good CPR. Even AED’s that
claim to have CPR feedback technology
do not have the ability to determine
effectiveness of your compressions –
they simply are basing the feedback
on how hard you are pushing. Now
unfortunately there is a huge difference
from individual to individual, in
appropriate force and pressure required
to perform effective compressions.
In the case of Sudden Cardiac Arrest,
good CPR is so important to maintain
the supply of oxygenated blood to
the brain and other organs, as the first
shock will not always bring about a
return of spontaneous circulation.
At this point the rescuer will be
instructed to perform CPR. Poor quality

compressions will not effectively
distribute the blood to these vital organs,
and they begin to fail quickly. And about
70% of all CPR is ineffectively performed.

Manikin is a general purpose rugged rescue
manikin that can simulate an impaled torso,
suspected neck injury and amputated arm

detachable to simulate an amputation, or

The Lifetec General Purpose dummies are suitable for common dry rescue
scenarios such as height, confined space, USAR, RTA and general handling
exercises. They are weighted to produce an anatomically correct weight
distribution and the feel of an unconscious patient. These dummies are
tough enough to be buried under concrete slabs, trees or have motor
vehicles laid upon them to present realistic scenarios for rescuers.
The Lifetec Water Rescue Dummy perfectly simulates an unconscious casualty in
water. They will float at an angle of approximately 45 degrees with just the head and
shoulders visible. The overalls supplied have integral pockets that enable the user to
add buoyancy or weight to the dummy. Additional use of a heavy-duty nylon mesh
and closed cell foam allows water to flood out of the dummy as it is being recovered.
Machine washable, protective overalls keep the dummy clean, and greatly increase
the lifespan of the dummy. For additional protection, all training dummies of 20kg and
over are supplied complete with gum boots. Also available with camouflage overalls.
