Laser hair removal has been in use

There are various laser equipments used for hair removal like
Diode, ND YAG, Alaxandrite and Ruby. Intense Pulse Light (IPL) is
yet another kind of equipment, though not a laser, it can still be
used for hair removal. Usually 6-8 treatment sessions are provided
with a gap of four to eight weeks between each session. The face
usually requires more frequent treatments, whereas legs require
less frequent treatments. Depending upon the laser used, the
procedure can be painless to mildly painful.
Post procedure
Typically the shedding of the treated hair takes about two to three weeks. These hair strands
should be allowed to fall out themselves and should not be manipulated by the patient. Hair
removal lasers are effective treatment for "ingrown hairs" or "shaving bumps" medically
known as pseudo folliculitis barbae. Laser hair reduction is the safest, cheapest and most
effective method of hair removal and should be preferred over the painful methods of hair
removal like waxing, threading and epilation.

Dermal fillers are injectables containing hyaluronic acid, a naturally
occurring substance which is found in all living organisms. It is used to fill
grooves, expression lines, wrinkles, irregularities and depression. (eg. Tear
troughs, laugh lines etc). It is also used for cheek, chin, lip and nose
reshaping. When injected into the skin layers, it fills the gaps and
depressions.
The injecting process lasts about 15-30 minutes. Now there are
formulations in the market with the addition of a local anesthetic agent

of acne depends on the grade and severity of the outcrops. Initial treatment

SCAR REDUCTION
The most common scars that one comes across in a dermatological clinic
include acne scars and scars following trauma (injuries). With the development
of new technologies in the fields of dermatology and plastic surgery, it is now
possible to reduce the severity of these scars.
Acne scars
The noninvasive options available are microdermabrasion, micro-needling,
chemical peels and fillers. These treatments are rather safe with minimal down
time and very few side effects. Approximately 50% – 60% improvement in the
scars can be appreciated after 6- 8 sittings.

Derma roller is a medical micro-needling device, which is used to naturally
stimulate collagen production in the skin without damaging it.The treatment
is done under topical anaesthesia, and causes temporary redness of the
skin. Sunscreens and other enhancing treatments are advised by the
dermatologist. The appearance of the face immediately after a derma roller
session is pinkish to red. Depending upon the skin type, the redness
disappears in 1-2 days. A follow up is required after 3- 4 weeks. Depending
on the skin response to derma roller, repeat treatments may be advised by
the Dermatologist, taking into account the severity and depth of scarring.

Chemical peels which penetrate to a deeper level may be used for treatment
of acne scars. There may be scabbing and exfoliation of the skin on using
these stronger peels which lasts from a few days to a week.
Lasers: Fractional CO2 laser is now considered the gold standard in acne scar
management. Other ablative lasers like Erbium- Glass can also be used. These
lasers work at a deeper layer of the skin resulting in notable improvement of the
scars in 5-6 sittings. The patient may experience redness of the skin for a few
days after the procedure which can be fixed with topical medication. Treatments
are carried out at intervals of 4-6 weeks.
Surgical options include subcision and punch grafting, both of which have
shown promising results. A combination of surgical and non-surgical
options gives the best results.
Traumatic scars
Traumatic scars occur due to burns, accidents etc. They can be improved
upon by lasers which promote the collagen build up below the scars.
Surgical scar revision is the most effective treatment option as it can
decrease the size of the scar substantially.
Risks, Side Effects and precautions
There are no major side effects and the client has to take a few precautions
post procedure, the most important being usage of a sunscreen and
avoidance of excessive sun exposure.
All treatments should not be performed on active injuries and the client
should wait at least 4-6 weeks to allow the wound to heal. To promote
healing, certain creams can be added to the treatment.

MESOTHERAPY
Mesotherapy is a procedure of administering growth factors, vitamins and
proteins in the scalp of patients suffering from hair fall. These substances are
injected into the mesoderm, a layer under the skin, which is a link between
tissues of the skin and the layer of fat. It helps in enhancing blood
distribution, triggering cell metabolism and speeding up the revival of hair
follicles. It has been found to be helpful in a lot of patients suffering from
active hair fall. The treatment is usually of eight to ten sessions. However,

Under eye circles are a result of a myriad of factors that add up to form the dark
rings under the eyes.

the eye can increase. This happens when you are tired or sleepy and especially

MICRODERMABRASION
Microdermabrasion (MDA) is a minimally invasive mechanical exfoliation procedure
for superficial skin resurfacing. Most exfoliation modalities in use today can be
broadly classified as chemical exfoliants, which include glycolic and salicylic acid
peels and mechanical exfoliants. Mechanical exfoliation treatments range from
simple microbead scrubs found over the counter, which partially remove the
stratum corneum, to operative procedures such as laser resurfacing and
dermabrasion, which can ablate the reticular dermis. The depth of resurfacing
achieved with MDA is conservatively in the middle of this spectrum. Although MDA
exfoliation can vary from superficial thinning of the stratum corneum to penetration
into the upper papillary dermis, the target depth for most MDA procedures is
removal of the stratum corneum.

Tattoo removal has been performed with various tools in the history of tattooing.
While tattoos were once considered permanent, it is now possible to remove them
with treatments, fully or partially.
Tattoo removal is most commonly performed using lasers that break down the ink
in the tattoo. The broken-down ink is then absorbed by the body, imitating the
natural fading that time or sun exposure would cause.
Procedure
Treatment with the laser varies from patient to patient depending on the age,
size, and type of tattoo (amateur or professional). The colour of the patient's skin,
as well as the depth to which the tattoo pigment extends, will also affect the
removal technique. Some colours are more difficult to remove than others. The
number of treatments required can only be determined by consulting the
dermatologist after performing the first treatment.
As with any other laser treatment, some discomfort is also associated with laser
tattoo removal. The individual’s skin sensitivity and pain threshold will determine
the level of discomfort. Local anesthetic creams or injections may be required
prior to the treatment. The skin's reaction to the laser is tested to determine the
most effective energy for treatment. As many patients describe it, each pulse
feels like a grease splatter or the snapping of a rubber band against the skin.
Post procedure
The skin turns white immediately after treatment. However, this response
disappears after 10 to 15 minutes. Redness, superficial bleeding and swelling
are commonly seen after laser tattoo treatment. Sometimes fluid filled blisters
may also be seen for up to 72 hours after the procedure, which needs to be
drained at the clinic. Often the dermatologist may apply a sterile dressing to
support healing.
Results
Generally, black and blue tattoos are known to respond better and faster
than the other colours. The fading of the tattoo can be seen almost after
eight weeks and the next sitting for the treatment can be determined
depending on the clinical response observed. On an average, 4-6
treatments are required with a gap of 6-8 weeks.

Warts are contagious viral infections which can have various different
presentations. They can be seen commonly over the face, hands and feet.
Various treatment options are available which include topical agents, peels and
permanent removal by cauterisation or ablative lasers, which is the preferred
method for most warts. Skin tags are outgrowths often seen over the neck,
groins and armpits. They are cosmetically bothering and can be removed by
simple procedures like excision or cauterisation. Moles can appear anywhere
on the skin, alone or in groups. Most moles appear in early childhood and
during the first 30 years of a person's life. As the years pass, moles usually
change slowly, becoming raised and/or changing colour. Often, hair
development is seen on the mole. Method of mole removal is dependent upon
the size and site of the mole, and can range from cauterization to surgical
excision.

INSTA LIFT / THREAD LIFT
A minor 30-40 minutes procedure wherein we use multiple, hair-thin needles that
have fine threads dipped in bio stem cell liquid, inside them. These needles are
inserted into a layer of the skin (intradermally) one-by-one and then pulled out
together smoothly, leaving the fine thread inside the layers of your skin. This induces
