The Chinese Guqin Concert
Master JIN Wei (金蔚)
At Vienna Golden Hall
September 30th, 2012
On September 30th, right on the day of the traditional Chinese Mid-autumn
Festival, it is the very first time a Chinese Guqin solo concert will be held in
Vienna Golden Hall.
Guqin with its 3000 years’ long history is well known as ‘the father of Chinese
music’. It has traditionally been favored by scholars, artists, poets, and
philosophers as well. Even Confucius was an excellent Guqin player and
composer.
Mr. Jin Wei (金蔚) is one of the most talented Guqin musicians of the younger
generation. He is a musician, as well as a Chinese painter and calligrapher.
With his fine play he can charm the audience and accompany them to a world
of harmony.
