Oscar Acebrás is a graduate of classical music from the Carlos López Buchardo conservatory in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is a guitarist, singer, electrical bass player, music arranger and composer of Argentine tango and folklore, entertainer and showman. Professor of the Universidad de Tango of the Buenos Aires municipality, he is a dance instructor of Argentine folklore, as well as, authentic and traditional tango. Maestro Acebrás has accompanied the best voices of Argentine tango such as; Alberto Podestá, Abel Córdoba, Roberto Florio, Oscar Ferrari, María Graña, Roberto Goyeneche, Raúl Berón, Mario Bustos, Jorge Vidal, Carlos Acuña, Horacio Deval, among others. He performed as a singer and bass player for 10 years at Café Tortoni, and Bar Sur in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as well as, various broadcasting presentations in Argentine radio and television to diffuse the art of Argentine tango and folklore. As a radio and television entertainer and broadcaster for both AM and FM programs, for four years he presented the Argentinísimo: Tangos to be Heard at Night show on FM Radio Crystal in Santos Lugares, Buenos Aires. Over the last 20 years Oscar has performed in Japan, Frankfurt, Germany, United Arab Emirates [Dubai], Madrid and Barcelona, Spain, Genova, Italy, and Wales. In England he has entertained audiences and taught tango and folklore dance in Southampton, Bristol, Oxford, Devon, Lokerbie and performed at Reading University. In France he has performed in Nice, Toulouse, Marseille, and Montpellier. He has also entertained audiences and taught in Central and South America in Perú, Ecuador and Belo Horizonte, Brazil. In Buenos Aires, Capital, he was the presenter and soloist of the Milonguísimo show at the Confitería Ideal, and the showman in Tango Real presented at Mansión Dandi Royal Hotel in San Telmo, Buenos Aires. He performed as a singer and guitarist at Museo del Tango, and in various locations in Mar del Plata. Maestro Acebrás has more than 100 recordings, and 14 original compositions recorded with seven CDs. He was born in the Caseros, province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, on December 12, 1949.
