LINDA BRAVA ‘AVE MARIA’
Linda Brava is a Finnish classical violinist, model and actress. A child prodigy of the violin,
Brava was a soloist with the Helsinki Strings Orchestra at the age of seven, making her
international debut aged eleven and has subsequently worked with Finland’s finest
orchestras. On her debut recording for EMI Brava is joined by pianist John Lenehan and
performs a collection of well-known compositions by Bach, Faure, Paganini and Sibelius.
ANGELIS ‘ANGEL’
Angelis are a classical crossover choir made up of six British choristers between the ages of
eleven and fourteen. The result of an exhaustive two year search by pop impresario Simon
Cowell, Angelis’ self-titled debut went platinum on release, thanks in large part to an
arrangement of ‘Angel’ by Canadian Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter Sarah
McLachlan, who wrote in memory of a dear friend.
ALICE AND WONDERLAND ‘ALICE REPRISE # 5’
Alice in Wonderland is American director Tim Burton’s 2010 fantasy film based on the books
by English author Lewis Carroll. Starring Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Anne
Hathaway, nineteen year old Alice returns to the whimsical world of Wonderland and
embarks on a magical journey to discover her true destiny. American musician Danny
Elfman wrote the score.

LITTLE DEATH ORCHESTRA ‘BECKONING BELL’
Little Death Orchestra is the brainchild of British composer Michael Burdett. Burdett, who
has written music for television, documentaries and theatre, is joined in the orchestra by
his co-collaborator Richard Cottle on keyboards, Mexican musicians Saul and Rico Gurima on
percussion and British saxophonist Bob Morgan. Described as ‘beautifully structured
current day electronica’ LDO released their second single this year.
HOOVERPHONIC ‘MAD ABOUT YOU’
Hooverphonic are a trip hop group from Belgium who achieved international recognition
when their track ‘2Wicky’ appeared in director Bernardo Bertolucci’s film ‘Stealing Beauty’
starring Liv Tyler. Defined by the breathy vocals of leader singer Geike Arnaert, languid
beats and simple string arrangements, Hooverphonic have released a string of hugely
successful albums, culminating in a best of album/DVD.
CLOSE UP: KARL JENKINS ‘STELLA NATALIS’
Karl Jenkins OBE is a Welsh musician & composer. Originally known as a jazz-rock musician
(playing saxophone, keyboards & oboe) Jenkins co-founded 'Nucleus', which won the first
prize at the 1970 Montreux Jazz Festival. As a composer, Jenkins is perhaps best known for
his 'Adiemus' albums (I to V), 'Requiem' & his compositions for Levis & British Airways.
Jenkins talks to C Music TV about recording his most recent composition for choir and
orchestra ‘Stella Natalis’, featuring soprano Kate Royal and trumpeter Alison Balsom.
Balsom, Kate Royal and Adiemus join Jenkins to discuss the universal appeal of this unique
album.
