• Premiered “Poem for Cello & Piano, Op. 9” at the Sandy Springs Talent Show- May
11th 2008. (Myself on Cello, Kaitlyn Connor on Piano)
• Composed & Conducted “Gloria from the Mass in A minor, Op. 8” Performed by the
North Springs Advanced Chorus with Van Craven as piano accompaniment.
• “Monadnoc: Based on a Poem by Emerson’• Op. 20- “Monadnoc: Based on a Poem by
Emerson” for Strings (2008) – First Place Award; Junior Division; 2009 ASTA
Merle J. Issac Composer Competition (National)
• Conducted “Gloria from the Mass in A minor, Op. 8” Performed by the North Springs
Advanced Chorus with Van Craven as piano accompaniment., to showcase the North
Springs Choral Dept. for the 2009 NSHS Magnet Open House
• Song for Baritone, “I Loved You Once...” Premiered for the 2009 Composer’s
Showcase, sung by Emory Mullock with myself on accompaniment.
• Used a quartet to showcase “Gloria from the Mass in A minor, Op. 8” for the 2008
Reflections Competition
• PTA Reflections (regional) - “Gloria from the Mass in A minor, Op. 8” and Rhapsody
No. I; “Suburbia”. 2 First Place/Awards of Excellence for music compositions; for
Fulton County (4th largest school district in GA) and placed second in state competition
• Accepted by Brevard College into Summer ’09 Music Composition Program
• Performed original composition at the NSCHS Composer’s Concert
