COMMUNITY BAND KICKS OFF THEIR 2015-2016 SEASON
The Little London Winds Performs in Their First Free Concert of the Season
The Little London Winds is excited to start their 2015-2016 Season with their annual Fall Concert. This familyfriendly, concert will feature a variety of music and will be held on Sunday, November,1 at 3:00 p.m.at First
Christian Church. Doors will open at 2:30 p.m. First Christian Church is located in downtown Colorado
Springs at 16 East Platte Avenue. Parking is available on the north side of the church in their parking lot, as
well as street parking, which is free on Sundays.
Selections of music performed will include:
Concord by Clare Grundman
The Diplomat March by John Philip Sousa, edited by Frank Byrne
Concertpiece Solo For Trumpet and Concert Band by James Curnow
Featuring soloist Frank Hilligas
To Walk with Wings Fanfare and Overture by Julie Giroux
Inglesina “The Little English Girl” by David Delle Cese, arranged by John R Bourgeois
Bandancing, Movement I City Shuffle by Jack Stamp
The Fall Concert is free and open to the public (no tickets) though donations are gladly accepted and appreciated
as The Little London Winds, is a non-profit organization [501(c)].
Established in 1992 by a small group of musicians, The Little London Winds has grown to 40-plus members and
is now considered Colorado Springs’ premier wind ensemble. Conductor, Mr. Paul Jacobson, is a local music
educator and composer. Membership in the group is by audition or invitation only.
