CHAMBER MUSIC

The Tiberius Quartet; Grigorios Zamparas, piano
The quartet was founded in 1994 at the Music Academy in Cluj,
Romania and has since played throughout Europe and the UK.
They are joined by University of Tampa pianist and Assistant
Professor of Music Grigorios Zamparas.
ET IN TERRA PAX: A HOLIDAY CELEBRATION
Sunday, Dec. 4 at 2 and 4 p.m.
University of Tampa Choirs, Ryan Hebert, director;
The Tampa Brass; Haig Mardirosian, organ
The traditional University of Tampa holiday concert moves to its
new home in the chapel. The program features the university’s
combined choral ensembles in seasonal music as well as
readings appropriate to the season.
FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT
Sunday, Feb. 12 at 2 p.m.
The Countertop Ensemble, Chris Dudley, musical director
The unusual name of this elite eight-voice Washington, DC
based ensemble owes to male altos singing the topmost voices
of early repertoire. Program includes music of all genres and
styles including Tallis, Monk, Bach and Pearsall.
FRANZ LISZT 200th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
Saturday, Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m.
Grigorios Zamparas, piano; Hein Jung, soprano;
Haig Mardirosian, organ
A program on Liszt’s birthday, including songs, the Piano Sonata
in B Minor, and the Prelude and Fugue on B-A-C-H for organ.
Preconcert talk at 6:15 p.m. by Grigorios Zamparas.

Petronel Malan, piano
The South African born pianist with credits in major venues
throughout the world has been called “formidable…dizzying…
magical” by the press. Malan is a Blüthner concert artist.
