Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB)
Over the past 15 years, we have
been a passionate supporter
of the FFB in their quest to fund
sight threatening vision research.
We are proud to have received
this plaque in recognition of our
efforts to raise awareness and
research funding. Everyone has
family or friends who are affected
by degenerative retinal
diseases. We support vision
research that is so critical to

Ocular Emergency Book (6th Edition)
The 6th edition of the Ocular
Emergency book has just been
published. The newest co-author is
Dr Rebecca Stein who is an
ophthalmology resident at the
University of Toronto. Rebecca is
the daughter of Dr Raymond Stein,
the granddaughter of Dr Harold
Stein, and the great granddaughter
of Dr Maxwell Bochner. The book
will be available free of charge
courtesy of the Bochner Eye
Institute and supporting ophthalmic companies.
Innovators Lecture in New Orleans at the
American Society of Cataract & Refractive
Surgery (ASCRS) by Dr Raymond Stein
ASCRS is the largest cataract and refractive surgery society
in the world. Every year at the annual meeting five
ophthalmologists from around the world are invited to give a
lecture on an innovative and important breakthrough in vision
care. Dr Raymond Stein delivered a talk on Topographyguided PRK and Crosslinking in Keratoconus on May 10, 2016
to thousands of clinicians. Congratulations to Dr Stein, as
one of the first Canadians to receive this acknowledgement
for his work.

As the Preferred Laser and Eye Centre for the Toronto Maple
Leafs, Raptors, Blue Jays, and Marlies we take great pride in
protecting and enhancing vision. The Bochner Eye Institute
is committed to vision research, education, and patient care.
We see athletes each year with vision issues who are treated
with either medical or surgical care. The same level of care is
delivered to all of our patients.
Congratulations to the Toronto Raptors on
Reaching the Eastern Finals for the First Time in
Franchise History
Congratulations to the Toronto Marlies
in their quest for the Calder Cup.
Many of our future Maple Leafs are now playing for the
Toronto Marlies. The coveted Calder Cup is the ultimate prize
for the American Hockey League throughout the Leagues's 80
year history. The Bochner Eye Institute are proud sponsors of
the Toronto Marlies.
