FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January, 2009
SIZEWISE Chooses ACHC
Raleigh, NC, ACHC is pleased to announce that Sizewise Rentals, L.L.C., a medical equipment provider
specializing in bariatrics, has chosen ACHC as their accreditation agency.
Since 1996, Sizewise has been manufacturing and distributing medical equipment and products. With
over 60 nationwide service locations, Sizewise prides itself on superior service in combination with
quality products for the long term care, homecare, and acute care settings. Sizewise manufactures its
products in the USA and carries the widest breadth of equipment available for both rental and sales.
The company’s products include bariatric, and non-bariatric, beds designed to promote rehabilitation and
ambulation as well as allow the caregiver access to the patient. Sizewise also manufactures bariatric, and
non-bariatric, air support surfaces that address patient comfort and clinical concerns; options are available
for full body lateral rotation, percussion/vibration, pulsation, alternation, and low air loss therapies.
Ancillary items manufactured by Sizewise include mobility and transport products which assist and
enhance patient mobilization while reducing workers’ compensation claims associated with patient
handling.
By addressing the safety, dignity, and clinical concerns of both the bariatric and non-bariatric patient
population, as well as those who care for them, Sizewise delivers Real Therapy for Real People™.
The Accreditation Commission for Health Care, Inc. is an independent, private, not-for-profit 501 C (3)
corporation established in 1986. The core programs include, but are not limited to, home health,
pharmacy based programs, home medical equipment and hospice. In 2003, ACHC answered the question,
“who accredits the accreditor?” by becoming the first national healthcare accrediting body in the country
to earn the international distinction of certification to ISO 9001:2000. ACHC is an Inc. 5,000 magazine
honoree.
