Pain Medicine
Dr. Stephen Campbell grew
up in Broomfield, Colorado.
He has had a number of
careers prior to embarking
on his career in medicine,
including a researcher at
the University of Colorado’s
Institute for Behavioral
Genetics and as an electron
microscopist and biochemist
for the American Cyanamid
Company.
He also had a career as a photographer and
videographer prior to attending medical school at the
Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.
He completed his residency training in anesthesiology
at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas

medicine favors multiple modalities that best optimize
his patients functional needs and the desired outcome.
His approach to pain medicine combines several pain
management options. These include:
• Physical therapy
• Cognitive behavioral therapies
• Interventional pain procedures including
injections and ablations
• Medication management
• Spinal cord stimulator implants
• Intrathecal pain pumps
Dr. Campbell is now accepting new patients.
