February 1941. Elsie works at the Ben Evans department
store and lives on Teilo Crescent. World War II continues to
be fought on the continent, but Elsie’s pressing on with her
wedding plans regardless because it’s nice for everyone to
have something to look forward to. Three nights later and
Elsie, her family and Swansea have been changed forever.
A new play commissioned by Swansea Grand Theatre to
commemorate seventy five years since Swansea’s three night
Blitz. It was the worst sustained bombardment of the war in
the whole of Wales and devastated the city. This new and
innovative play tells the story of the city and its people.
