1. What is the purpose of the ARTISTRY™ IDEAL RADIANCE skincare line?
The ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE Collection with 3D Brightening is designed to help treat,
prevent and protect skin from the signs of discolouration. By doing this, it helps to restore
luminosity, evenness of skin tone and radiance.
2. Is ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE a skin bleaching product range?
No, ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE contains a variety of powerful ingredients that inhibit the
formation of dark spots at multiple points in which excess pigment is produced. By inhibiting
pigment formation, skin becomes more radiant and even in tone. In addition, ARTISTRY
IDEAL RADIANCE products contain ingredients which prevent skin irritation – a common
contributory factor to the development of dark spots. The unique combination of 3D
Technology, Pearl Protein and MultiFlora Blend minimises pigmentation and protects the
skin from future dark spots.
3. Are there any global trends that support the launch of ARTISTRY IDEAL
RADIANCE?
The quest for radiance has become a near obsession on a global scale, as illustrated by an
increase of almost 10% in the skin-brightening category -– with products promising that
coveted boost – from 2010 to 2011 (Tyrimou, 2012).
4. How long after production are ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products still
suitable for use and how long can I keep and continue to use each product
after it has been opened?
Each ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE product has an MFG – an indicator of when the product
was produced. All ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products can be used for up to three years
after their MFG date. Once opened, products can be used for up to 24 months.
5. What clinical testing or laboratory support is available for these products?
Third-party clinical testing has been conducted to support all of the safety claims as well as
most efficacy claims. Some efficacy claims are substantiated using validated laboratory
testing, conducted at the ARTISTRY laboratories. This is true for all ARTISTRY products.
6. Does the technology used in the ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE skincare
system have any patents or patents pending?
Yes, there are 5 patents and 2 patents pending.
7. Who is the ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE Collection recommended for?
The ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE Collection has been formulated for women and men who
want to improve their overall skin tone or minimise the appearance of dark spots and
discolourations. ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products have been developed with women
and men aged between 25 and 40 in mind.
8. Do any of the ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products have any known
instabilities? (For example colour variation, odour variation, acceptable
separation)
ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products contain natural-based ingredients, some of which
may have a tendency to darken very slightly over time. As an example, a bright white cream
may, over time, transition to a soft off-white colour. Regardless of colour change, the efficacy
of the product remains the same.

9. How do ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products achieve the desired effects for
skin?
The ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE skincare system works by inhibiting melanin activity –
the cause of dark spots and discolouration – while simultaneously soothing and hydrating
skin. The result of this action is a more even skin tone and skin that is hydrated and free
from irritation. The combination of both even skin tone, as well as improvement in hydration
levels and general appearance, results in skin that looks and feels more radiant.
10. Can the terms pigmentation and hyperpigmentation be used interchangeably?
Yes, the terms pigmentation and hyperpigmentation can be used interchangeably – they
mean the same thing.
11. Why is ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE being launched and how does this
impact my existing Amway/Beauty business?
ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE is being launched due to the increasing global demand for
brighter, more luminous skin. Dark spots have quickly become one of the leading ageing
skin concerns. The ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE Collection is ideal to enhance the
ARTISTRY skin care line and further boost your ARTISTRY business. No other ARTISTRY
collection focuses on dark spots and pigment concerns. It can easily be combined with other
ARTISTRY skincare lines.
PRODUCT USE
1. Once opened, how long should each ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE product be
expected to last?
The expected use-up rate for ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products is approximately 6
weeks. This is on the basis of each product being used twice a day.
2. Are there any parts of the face that should be avoided when applying
ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products?
ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products should not be used on the eyelid and care should
be taken to avoid contact with the area directly around the eye.
3. What is the correct order of use for each ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE
product?
• Cleanse
• Tone
• Treat (Illuminating Essence, Spot Corrector)
• Moisturise (Illuminating Moisture Cream)
• Protect (ARTISTRY sunscreen, e.g ARTISTRY MultiProtect30)
4. How can ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products be used with other
ARTISTRY™ skincare products?
ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE is aesthetically compatible with all ARTISTRY skincare
products.

5. Should YOUTH XTEND™ Serum Concentrate be used as part of the same
skincare regimen or should they be alternated?
Both ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE Illuminating Essence and ARTISTRY YOUTH XTEND
Serum Concentrate can be used as part of the same skincare regimen. They can be used
consecutively (i.e. one after the other), however, in order to maximise the benefits of each
product, the use of ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE Illuminating Essence and ARTISTRY
YOUTH XTEND Serum Concentrate should be alternated (i.e. one in the morning and the
other at night, or one on one day and the other on the next).

1. What are the key ingredients and technologies used in ARTISTRY IDEAL
RADIANCE products?
ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products feature exclusive 3D Technology. This advanced
scientific effect is used in harmony with the MultiFlora Blend, Pearl Protein and patented
Chia and Pomegranate Extracts.
2. What is 3D Technology?
3D Technology is a liposome that delivers hydrating, brightening and soothing ingredients
deep within 3 different layers of the skin’s surface to deliver fast and unprecedented results.
The three ingredients in the liposome are:
Liquorice – to soothe the skin
Patented Acerola Cherry Ferment – a skin-brightening ingredient
Ceramide 3 – a moisturising ingredient.
3. What is the MultiFlora Blend?
The MultiFlora Blend is a selection of skin-perfecting flowers chosen for their
brightening,soothing, protective and reparative benefits. The blend includes: English Daisies,
European Geraniums, Jasmine, White Tea, Evening Primrose and Sophora Japonica.
4. What is Pearl Protein?
Pearl Protein is a luxurious, highly concentrated form of pearl protein that helps to reduce
the irritation that often leads to dark spots and discolourations.

5. What are Chia and Pomegranate Extracts and why are they combined?
Discovered and developed by ARTISTRY™ scientists and then grown and harvested on
Amway farms, Chia Seed and Pomegranate are organically grown botanical ingredients that
are exclusive to ARTISTRY. The unique combinations of these two ingredients possess
incredible skin-brightening power. Chia seeds are carefully processed using an advanced
cryogenic-milling technique. This helps preserve the quality and integrity of the Chia extract
to deliver highly effective brightening power. Pomegranate is a “super-fruit” with high levels
of antioxidants and skin-brightening benefits. This exclusive extract is taken from the whole
fruit, ensuring that the maximum activity and benefit is captured.
6. What type of fragrance is used in the ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE skincare
system?
The fragrance is a citrus flora. Citrus, mandarin and leafy green notes are combined as part
of an effect that resembles a burst of light. Rose and jasmine are then melded with raspberry
and marine notes to provide a gentle touch. Finally, soft peach, musk, woods and vanilla
blend perfectly to create an irresistible finish.
7. Do ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products contain any soy ingredients?
The ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE collection includes a low-level soy-derived ingredient in
all products. All ingredients have gone through a thorough safety evaluation.
8. Do ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products contain gluten?
ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products do not contain any wheat-based ingredients.
However, ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products do contain a patented oat derivative,
which means that we would refrain from claiming that products are “gluten free”.
9. Does the ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE system contain any animal
ingredients?
ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE Illuminating Moisture Cream contains Squalane, a lipid
derived from shark liver oil. These ingredients are also used in other ARTISTRY products.
10. Are there any ingredients in ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products that have
been approved by NUTRILITE™?
The following NUTRILITE-approved ingredients have been included in ARTISTRY IDEAL
RADIANCE formulas: Pomegranate extract and organically grown Chia Seed Oil and Chia
Seed Extract.
11. What are the other ingredients that make the ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE
skincare system so special?

Ascorbyl Glucoside
Ascorbyl Glucoside is a stabilised form of vitamin C combined with glucose that works to
inhibit the synthesis of melanin. It is an ingredient found in Illuminating Essence, Spot
Corrector and Illuminating Moisture Cream.

Pea Extract
Pea Extract is taken from the whole plant and functions as a skin brightener.

Red Algae Extract
Red Algae Extract functions as a skin-brightening agent.

SAFETY AND PRECAUTIONS
1. Can ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products be used by people with sensitive
skin?
All ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products have been thoroughly tested on groups of
individuals representing all skin types. There has been no evidence of allergic response or
extreme skin irritation. However, we recognise that no testing programme can assure that no
one will ever develop minor reactions. No skin care product is guaranteed to be 100%
irritation-free for everyone.
2. If I have experienced bad sunburn, can I use these products? How about after
a chemical peel or laser treatment?
Generally, we do not recommend that any cosmetic product be used after a “bad” case of
sunburn or any treatment or experience that has caused extreme inflammation. The
products should only be used after inflammation has subsided. For use after chemical peel
or laser treatment, one should consult their physician.
3. Are there any ARTISTRY™ products that should be avoided when using the
ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE collection?
No other ARTISTRY products need to be avoided when using the ARTISTRY IDEAL
RADIANCE collection. ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products are formulated to be
compatible with all other ARTISTRY skincare products.
4. Why do some products, despite extensive testing, still cause some people to
experience skin reactions?
No skin care product is guaranteed to be 100% irritation-free for everyone. All ARTISTRY
IDEAL RADIANCE products are thoroughly tested for skin compatibility and safety, but there
are always a small number of people that are sensitive to certain ingredients. Otherwise, the
products are considered safe. Just as some people are allergic to pets or dust, others are
allergic to common cosmetic ingredients. Of course, we are careful not to use any
ingredients that are known to cause allergic reactions. It must also be kept in mind that the
ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products contain many powerful and efficacious ingredients
in order to provide the high level of anti-ageing benefits. If redness develops or the
sensations become more severe, the client should discontinue use.
5. Were any ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products tested on animals?
ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products were not tested on animals. We conduct clinical and
consumer testing with human volunteers.
6. Are ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products safe to use during pregnancy?
Yes, ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products are safe to use during pregnancy. The
products do not penetrate through skin and into the bloodstream. However, it is important to
be aware that, during pregnancy, skin behaves differently and can become more sensitive
than normal, even to those products and ingredients that previously brought no adverse
reaction.
7. Are there any times or situations when it is not advisable to use ARTISTRY
IDEAL RADIANCE products? For example, when using medication for a skin
concern, etc.
There are no specific times or situations that dictate that ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE
products should not be used. The only time where it may be advisable to refrain from using
the products is if the user plans to spend a great deal of time in the sun. This is because the
ingredients used in ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products inhibit melanin production,
which is created by skin as a means of protecting it from UV rays. It is imperative that SPF is
used.

irritation, inflammation and environmental influences.
2. How quickly will I see a difference in my skin?
After only one use of the ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE Power System, skin looks more
radiant. The deepest layers of the skin's surface are targeted in just 2 hours. In 24 hours,
melanin levels are significantly reduced. In 7 days, skin is visibly more flawless and eventoned. Dark spots and discolourations are diminished. Skin feels hydrated and a fresh
luminosity is revealed.
3. What are the major benefits of the ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE skincare line?
The benefits of ARTISTRY IDEAL RADIANCE products include brighter, more luminous skin,

APPENDIX GLOSSARY
1. ANTIOXIDANTS – Substances that protect cells from damage caused by unstable
molecules known as free radicals.
2. BOTANICALS – Skincare ingredients derived from plants or trees.
3. EX VIVO – Experimentation or measurements done in or on tissue in an artificial
environment outside the organism.
4. GENE – Genes are pieces of DNA, and most genes contain information for making proteins
which direct biological behaviour.
5. HYPERPIGMENTATION – When skin is exposed to harsh conditions like the sun, stress,
hormonal changes and ageing in general, an increased number of signals is triggered within
our skin cells. These signals cause melanocytes to become hyperactive, over-multiplying
themselves and overproducing melanin – a condition known as hyperpigmentation.
Hyperpigmentation is another term for dark spots and discolouration of the skin.
6. IN-VITRO – A method used to test a product or ingredient efficacy using representative
cells or tissues outside the body in an artificial environment.
7. LIPOSOME – A microscopic lipid sphere that is capable of holding other ingredients and
releasing them into the skin.
8. MELANIN – The pigment in skin cells that gives the skin colour.
9. MELANOCYTE – A dendritic cell found at the bottom of the epidermis that produces
melanin containing melanosomes and subsequently distributes them into the surrounding
keratinocytes.
10. MELANOSOMES – Small organelle within a melanocyte in which melanin is synthesized
and transported.
11. PIH – Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) causes skin darkening and discolouration
that shows up as spots, or as large patches on a person’s body.
