Bios Beth and Frank Naughton, Co-Owners Beth Naughton serves as the director of marketing & sales for Uvida UV-protective Sportswear and the chief architect behind the shirt’s stylish feel and design. A University of Arizona graduate, Beth was a top-performing regional sales account representative for Abbott Laboratories, as well as, an international product-marketing manager for Weiser Lock. Nominated as one of Tucson’s Outstanding Young Executives, Beth continues to serve as the director of corporate marketing and communications for Naughton’s Plumbing, Heating and Cooling in Tucson, a five-location wholesale and retail company owned by her husband Frank, also a University of Arizona graduate and the financial mind behind Uvida. The Naughtons have two children and enjoy golf, tennis, competitive swimming and many other sun-loving sports, protected by their Uvida shirts, of course! Dr. Michael and Amy Huether, Co-Owners Tucson skin cancer surgeon Dr. Michael Huether is the medical director for Arizona Skin Cancer Surgery Center. A University of South Dakota graduate and South Dakota native, he received his medical doctorate from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. Having completed his dermatology training at Yale-New Haven Hospital as chief resident, Michael also completed a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center at Shadyside. A board-certified dermatologist, Michael has authored several professional publications, as well as, a children’s book with his wife, Amy, called Ju Ju and the Sunblock. Amy, also a South Dakota native, is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a juris doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law. She coached Yale University’s women’s golf team while working in the school’s General Council’s Office and currently works with her husband at Arizona Skin Cancer Surgery Center. Avid athletes as well, the Huethers enjoy tennis and have six, fair-skinned children—three of whom compete in golf tournaments every weekend--constant inspiration for highlighting the importance of sun protection.
