more problems in the long as well as short term.
Introduction to Analytics & Algorithm Team: The Analytics and Algorithms team was set up more than 5 years ago at Info Edge. We focus on
solving the most critical business problems for the company, which includes matching between
jobseekers and recruiters for Naukri, matching bride and groom for Jeevansathi, matching buyers
and sellers for 99acres and so on.
In addition to the matching problems, we apply the same principles for spam control and online
recommendations. Modeling life time value of potential customers helps us optimize marketing
spends and our telesales teams prioritize their calling activity basis scores we assign to customers
based on their propensity to pay. Analytics team is also responsible for Naukri JobSpeak Index and
99acres Property Price Trends.
Analytics and Algorithms team works across technology platforms and languages, including Python,
R, SAS, Matlab etc. Predictive Analytics substantially relies on machine learning and statistical
techniques. As we have invested substantially in Naukri Job Alerts which analyzes the text CV and
the text heavy job postings, we have developed extensive expertise in Natural Language Procession,
Information Retrieval, knowledge management etc.
Profile Description and Responsibilities:•
Building intelligent systems leveraging the vast amount of available user/behavior data to
enrich the end user experience
•
Use of cutting edge data mining, machine learning techniques for building advanced
recommender systems and matching algorithms.
•
Research on innovative technologies to solve text mining, natural language processing,
knowledge management and information retrieval problems.
•
Use techniques from artificial intelligence/machine learning to solve supervised and
unsupervised learning problems.
•
Design solutions for complex business problems related to BIG Data by using NLP/Machine
Learning/Text Mining techniques.
•
Analyze human behavior, perform sentiment analysis, solve complex problems related to
Text Mining, do research on Image Processing
Requirement:•
Outstanding expertise and research experience on machine learning/NLP/Information
Retrieval/Artificial Intelligence problems.
•
A PhD (or masters with relevant experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems,
Data Science, Applied Statistics, or related disciplines with sound technical expertise in one or more
of the above mentioned areas.
•
An excellent problem solver with research oriented approach.
•
Experience with capturing, managing and processing Big Data will be an added advantage.
