rogressive Radiology is a full-service medical
imaging practice with ten locations in Maryland
and the District of Columbia. In Harford County,
Progressive Radiology at the Colonnade offers highfield MRI, CT (including low-dose lung cancer screening
CT), digital mammography, ultrasound, digital X-ray,
fluoroscopy, bone densitometry, and pediatric imaging.
Medical Director Jill C. Wilkens, M.D., brings a
unique combination of subspecialty training in pediatric
radiology and women’s imaging to Progressive
Radiology and to the community setting. “Because of
our ability to accommodate the special diagnostic
needs of children with an on-site pediatric radiologist,
we present a practical alternative to the urban children’s
hospitals,” Dr. Wilkens says. “Progressive Radiology

All of Progressive Radiology’s physicians are boardcertified radiologists with additional subspecialty
training. Many are nationally renowned educators and
authors, having completed multiple fellowships and
additional years of post-graduate clinical training and
advanced degrees outside of medicine. “We offer an
academic level of expertise in a private-practice
setting,” Dr. Wilkens says.
The practice is owned and operated by local
physicians with more than 35 years of experience and
excellence in imaging. Members of the medical and
administrative staff share the owners’ commitment to
provide exceptional service and to make each patient’s
visit pleasant and stress-free.
“Our patients and our professional colleagues
are also our neighbors and the relationships we
develop extend into the community,” says Director of
Operations Michael Greene. “Local physicians know

Through the years, Progressive Radiology has kept
pace with trends in the field, such as the growing
demand for instant global access to patient information.
“Our images and reports are available for immediate
access to help expedite diagnoses,” Dr. Wilkens says,
“and an on-site radiologist is easily accessible at all
times for consultation to referring medical providers,
patients and staff.”
Progressive Radiology’s physicians serve as
resident radiologists and medical directors of multiple
other imaging centers in the area; provide professional
services as remote radiologists for multiple additional
MRI centers;
interpret general radiological
examinations from numerous clinical offices; provide
forensic consultation services for the legal community;
and perform radiological examinations for workers'
compensation , personal injury and automobile
accident claims.
The Colonnade location offers a vast array of
women’s imaging services, including DXA (bone
densitometry), imaging of the pelvis and reproductive
organs, and obstetrics.
Digital mammography,
including screening and diagnostic exams and breast
ultrasound, are at the forefront of the center’s women’s
imaging practice. In accordance with the
recommendations of many nationally recognized
medical societies, Progressive Radiology’s physicians
encourage yearly screening mammography for all
women, beginning at age 40. Future plans include
expansion of women’s imaging services to including
breast MRI and MRI-guided biopsies.
Dr. Wilkens attributes Progressive Radiology’s
