Biomedical Informatics: Imaging Systems in Radiology: Applications, Integration and
Evolution. Presenter: Kori Stewart, MHS RT(R)(CT)(ARRT)

The integration of informatics in imaging has been widely developed and embraced in radiology departments throughout the United
States. Participants will learn about the development and implementation of informatics in imaging systems and will explore the
evolution of many of these systems in use today. Current innovations and forthcoming applications will also be discussed with a
look into the future of informatics in Radiology.
Cardiac Masses. Presenter: Richard Palma, BS, RDCS, RCS ACS, FASE:

An in-depth demonstration of the different types of cardiac masses within the heart. How to differentiate malignant from benign
tumors and how normal structures can appear to abnormal will be discussed.
The Palpable Breast “Lump”: Helpful Tips on Diagnostic work up.
Presenter: Steven Urbanski, MD

Expectations of a comprehensive diagnostic breast imaging work up will be presented. The importance of concordance in imaging,
biopsy and pathological outcomes will be discussed. A variety of case studies will be shown.
Clearing the Pediatric Cervical Spine Following Injury. Presenter: Rhianna Little, MD

This presentation will discuss the characteristics of cervical spine injury in the pediatric population and the role of a systematic
protocol in the clearance of the pediatric cervical spine. Identifying clinical and radiographic peculiarities of the pediatric patient as it
relates to cervical spine injury will also be demonstrated.
