Self-introduction: I am SSEAYP 91 PYs and Pan Pac Osaka 2002 PY, I am working for a
private company as a salesman, I'm in charge marine and light machinery spare parts.
1a.
Background related to NPO management: I have joined the SSEAYP Alumni Association
(SIM- Kabesa Malaysia ) in 1992. And since that I've involved in the society's activities. I'm also a
REIKI THERAPIST and I used my knowledge on Reiki to Heal my friends health problem, and this
is a Non Profit Service that I practice for the past four years.

Image of NPO: Whatever name it goes by, a nonprofit agency is simply an organization
that is in business to do some type of community service. The organization may feed the hungry,
provide shelter to the homeless, or care for elderly people who have no one else to lookout for them.
A nonprofit agency's mission is simply to take care of people. Nothing more, nothing less.

MAKNA (National Cancer Council)

MISSION: MAKNA or National Cancer Council is a non-profit Organization, established on 30th
March 1995 with the objective "to pool and utilize all efforts, expertise and finance from all sectors
of the society, to fight cancer and reduce related pain, morbidity and the suffering that cancer
patients undergo".
SIZE: MAKNA have more than 29 full time staff managing 170p programs a year. These
programs include fund development, screening campaigns, cancer awareness and prevention.
Another 49 staff work in the treatment center. They are registered nurses, radiation therapists and
support staff.
CASE RESEARCHED: Quality Service: If we are to be credible in promoting excellent quality
service as a non-profit organization, we must practice what we preach. Therefore, we are committed
to providing superior service. We strive to respond to requests for services in a timely, appropriate,
and customer-focused manner.
Teamwork: Non-Profit organization relies on the cooperative efforts of everyone. We must work
together, solving, sharing our successes, and creating new visions.
WE MAKE A LIVING BY WHAT WE GET, BUT WE MAKE A LIFE BY WHAT WE GIVE.
