use of all or a portion of the web site, as submitted or as may be modified by
MDC, the Miami-Dade County or their agents, for any purpose.

Information about the South Florida Crisis Intervention Team (CIT)
Links to, and information about, Miami-Dade County Government
Video content provided by CIT
CIT contact information, CIT logo, photographs, links to appropriate web pages,
and other required CIT content (see handout).
Use of any web tool and technique is allowed , as long as the result is a web site that is useful to
CIT and the public, easy to maintain, and aesthetically pleasing. Web sites must be functional in
a standard web environment. Pages should operate under current HTML standards. Judges will
view pages in current versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Mozilla in
resolutions of both 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768 on Windows XP platforms, and may also test
submissions on Linux and Apple Macintosh platforms. Web pages need not look identical in all
configurations but should be functional in all browsers.
MAINTAINABILITY
Web site submissions will be judged on the ability to maintain web site content over several
years. The people maintaining the site will have experience with HTML but not necessarily with
every scripting tool (such as PHP, Python or Perl). Such tools are allowed, but insure that routine
changes can be made without editing scripts. Plain HTML pages would also constitute a
maintainable site provided they are easy to find in the submission’s directory structure.
RESOURCES

their web pages. An internal College web server will also be provided to MDC students to
upload, view and test their web pages.
