Exotic Shorthair
short and easy to maintain coat.
Diet:
All cats are 'obligate carnivores', which
means they require meat in their diet.
Taurine is essential to a cat's health, and it
gets this amino acid from either wet or dry
foods containing meat. Depending on
factors such as size and weight, adult cats
can eat a quarter to half a cup of dry food
per day, or 140 – 250g of wet food per day.
These amounts can be halved if feeding a
diet of both wet and dry food.
Growth Size:
Exotic Shorthairs grow to a weight of 3.5 –
6kg.
Lifespan:
12 – 14 years.
Temperament:
Exotic Shorthairs are very sociable cats.
They absolutely love human
companionship and will shower their
owners with affection.

Grooming:
With a low-maintenance coat, the Exotic
Shorthair is an easy cat to groom. A quick
brush weekly should suffice to remove any
loose hairs.
Comments:
Occasionally an Exotic Shorthair can be
born with long hair. When this happens
they can be registered as a Persian. Being
originally bred from Persians, the short coat
has earned the Exotic Shorthair the
nickname 'The Lazy Man's Persian'.
