To help your canine patients enjoy optimal hip and joint
health, you know you have many options. You also know that all dogs
don't respond identically to the same products. So if non-pharmaceutical
animal health products play a part in your protocol, it makes sense to offer

The Glyco-Flex difference.
Glyco-Flex contains a unique combination of GlycOmega™ (Perna
canaliculus from an exclusive New Zealand source) plus DMG,
Glucosamine, MSM and other active ingredients that have been
proven beneficial for dogs requiring joint support. Significantly,
it is the only clinically researched, Perna-based joint support
product available.
• Perna canaliculus, commonly known as the New Zealand green-lipped
mussel, is a natural source of glycosaminoglycans (including chondroitin-4
and -6 sulfates and hyaluronic acid), minerals, amino acids and omega 3 fatty
acids–compounds that can make a significant contribution to canine mobility
and comfort. Only Glyco-Flex products are formulated with GlycOmega™ Perna.
Unlike Perna extract-based products and mussel powders which lack important
fatty acids and other bioactive components (e.g. defatted powders or extracts),
in Glyco-Flex the entire organism is utilized, resulting in higher levels of
anti-inflammatory activity. Moreover, a balanced blend of ingredients is then
available to the patient in the same relative proportions as they occur in nature.
• Dimethylglycine (DMG) is a naturally occurring compound that has been shown
to support joint structure and function. Studies also indicate that DMG acts as
a powerful antioxidant to help promote healthy joints and connective tissues.

Manufacturing and Quality Control
Clinical studies. Vetri-Science Laboratories of Vermont has
spent over seventeen years researching Glyco-Flex and its
primary constituents. In study after study, universities and
independent researchers have confirmed the value, safety and
bioavailability of Glyco-Flex and its ingredients in relation to
joint support. While each ingredient has individually proven
its worth, it is the way these components synergistically
interact that accounts for the clinical value of Glyco-Flex.
• The manufacturing of animal health joint support products
is regulated by the FDA. Vetri-Science is a registered drug
facility subject to routine FDA inspection. Therefore we have
established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), have a
quality control and testing system in place, and follow Good
Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Raw Ingredients
• GlycOmega™ (Perna canaliculus /New Zealand green-lipped
mussel) is produced for the utmost quality and purity under
strict, government-regulated standards. The GlycOmega used
in Glyco-Flex products is from a source available exclusively to
Vetri-Science. To ensure that the human-grade, whole mussel
powder is of the highest quality, it is periodically tested
to confirm that it meets or exceeds a standard activity
level. GlycOmega is also periodically tested for
proteins, individual amino acids, carbohydrates,
lipids, minerals and chondroitin sulfates.
• DMG, Glucosamine Hydrochloride,
Methylsulfonylmethane and other active
ingredients are human grade and are extensively
tested by validated analytical methods to guarantee
identity, potency and purity, as well as established
physical and chemical properties.
• Vetri-Science was one of the first companies to receive the
National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) “Benchmark of
Quality” Seal. Companies whose products bear this seal
have passed an audit by NASC, are required to follow label
guidelines, have a quality control system in place and must
trace and report adverse events on a monthly basis.
• For quality assurance purposes, Vetri-Science requires
Certificates of Analysis (COA) with all incoming raw
ingredients. In addition, we individually evaluate each lot
against stringent standards of purity and/or activity.
• Our computerized lot numbering system allows us to
track any ingredient from the finished product back to
the original source.
