This proteolytic enzyme has been shown to induce intense fibrinolytic, anti-inflammatory and anti-edemic activity in a number of tissues. After baseline electrophysiological studies, these patients were given serratiopeptidase – 10mg. twice daily. After three-four days of treatment, significant symptom regression was observed. The conclusion was that Serratia Peptidase has antiinflammatory, anti-edemic fibrinolytic activity and acts rapidly on localized inflammation. Source: A.
