OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
HOW TO ENTER AND ELIGIBILITY:
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. There are two ways to enter the Shoppers Optimum Lise Watier Make
up Station Contest (“Contest”), as described below. You may enter as often as you like during the Contest
Period identified in these rules. Contest is limited to participating Shoppers Drug Mart stores in the
province of Ontario ONLY (each a “Participating Store” and collectively, “Participating Stores”), identified
in the attached schedule. All entrants are responsible for ensuring that their contact information is up-todate and correct on their Shoppers Optimum Card account. You must be an Ontario resident, age of
majority or older, and a Shoppers Optimum member to enter. Contest is open only to residents of the
province of Ontario, age of majority or older and who are valid members of the Shoppers Optimum
Program, except employees of Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. and Lise Watier (the “Contest Sponsors”), the
Associate/Owners of Shoppers Drug Mart stores and their respective agents, representatives, parents,
affiliates, subsidiaries, and their advertising and promotional agencies and members of their respective
families or those with whom they are domiciled (collectively, the “Contest Parties”). By participating in
this Contest, you agree that you have read and understand the Official Rules (the “Rules”), you meet the
Contest eligibility requirements, you are bound by the Rules, and that you agree to comply with and abide
by the Rules and the decisions of the Contest Sponsor, as defined below, whose decisions shall be final.
(1) AUTOMATIC ENTRY WITH PURCHASE OF PARTICIPATING PRODUCTS AND
PRESENTATION OF SHOPPERS OPTIMUM CARD® AT PARTICIPATING STORES: Between
January 30th and February 26th, 2016 (“Contest Period”), every time you purchase any Lise Watier
participating lip products in a single transaction and present your valid Shoppers Optimum Card®, your
name will be automatically entered into the Contest for a chance to win the prize, as described below.
(2) NO PURCHASE ENTRY: To enter the Contest for a chance to win the prize without making a
purchase, please hand-write a 50-word essay about why you like shopping at Shoppers Drug Mart. The
essay must be an original and written by the entrant submitting the essay, and cannot be mechanically
reproduced. Limit of one essay per envelope with sufficient postage. Include this essay along with your
name, name and address of a Shoppers Drug Mart store selected from attached list of Participating Stores,
Shoppers Optimum Card, address, postal code, and phone number and mail it to: Shoppers Optimum Lise
Watier Make Up Station Contest, 243 Consumers Road, Toronto, Ontario, M2J 4W8. All essay
entries must be postmarked before midnight, February 26th, 2016 and received at Shoppers Drug Mart’s
address as noted by no later than Friday, March 4th, 2016.
PRIZE DETAILS:
There are three hundred and seventy four (374) prizes, each consisting of one (1) make up station with
selected products available to be won. Approximate retail value of each prize is $ 593.00. Prize is nontransferable, may not be substituted and is not redeemable for cash. Sponsors reserve the right to
substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater approximate value.
CHANCES OF WINNING:
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
THE DRAW:
Three hundred and seventy four (374) entries (one entry per Participating Store) will be randomly selected
from among all eligible entries received. The random draws will occur at the Shoppers Drug Mart central
office in Toronto, Ontario on Friday March 11th, 2016 (the “Draw Date”) at approximately 10:00 AM
EST. All entries become the property of Shoppers Drug Mart. A Shoppers Drug Mart representative will
notify the selected entrants by phone at the number provided on the entry or associated with the entrant’s
Shoppers Optimum account within seven (7) days of the Draw Date. By entering the Contest, entrants
agree to have their personal contact information provided by Shoppers Drug Mart to Lise Watier
Cosmetiques for the purposes of contacting the selected potential winners and assisting with administering
the Contest. In order to be eligible to claim the prize, each selected entrant must first correctly answer,
without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a mathematical skill testing question to be
administered by phone at a mutually convenient time and then sign a standard declaration/release form
confirming compliance with the Contest Rules and acceptance of the prize as awarded. If a selected entrant
cannot be contacted within fourteen (14) days of the Draw Date, or does not meet all of the Contest
conditions, the selected entrant shall forfeit any rights to the prize, and another entrant will be randomly
selected from the remaining eligible entries (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section will
apply to such new selected entrant).
GENERAL RULES:
This Contest is conducted by Lise Watier Cosmétiques Inc., and Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. (“Contest
Sponsors”) and is open to all Shoppers Optimum Members who are residents of the Province of Ontario,
age of majority or older. Employees of Lise Watier Cosmétiques and Shoppers Drug Mart, the
Associate/Owners of Shoppers Drug Mart stores, and each of their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising,
promotional agencies, fulfillment house and members of their respective immediate families or those with
whom they are domiciled, are not permitted to enter the Contest. All decisions of the Contest Sponsors are
final.
This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Void wherever prohibited
by law. Entries obtained through fraudulent means or through an abuse of the Shoppers Optimum
Program® Optimum Program® or in any way tampered with, forged, mutilated, illegible, incomplete or
mechanically reproduced essays may, at the sole discretion of Shoppers Drug Mart be disqualified. All
entries are subject to verification by Contest Sponsors and Contest Sponsors reserve the right to cancel and
revoke any entries if they are found to be improper or if the entrant is subsequently found to be ineligible
pursuant to the Contest Rules.
All essays become the property of the Contest Sponsors and shall not be returned. Contest Sponsors are not
responsible for entries lost, late, misdirected, containing inaccurate information or delayed for any reason.
Mailed in essay entry must bear sufficient postage, which is the sole responsibility of the entrant. Proof of
sending an entry is not proof of receipt by Contest Sponsors.
By entering the Contest and/or accepting a prize, entrants consent to the use of their name, voice and/or
photograph in any publicity or advertisement carried out by the Contest Sponsors and/or the other
participating companies and publication of same on the list of winners without further compensation.
Contest Sponsors shall not be liable to the confirmed winner of the prize for any guarantee, warranty,
condition or representation, express or implied, relating to the prize, including without limitation, its
quality, condition or fitness for a particular purpose.
By acceptance of a prize, each winner agrees to release and indemnify the Contest Sponsors, their
respective affiliates, franchisees, subsidiaries, advertising, promotional agencies, promotional partners and
fulfillment house (the “Releasees”) from any and all liability claims or actions of any kind whatsoever in
connection with the Contest and the prize. Each winner shall be required to sign the Declaration and
Release confirming such release and indemnification, which must be returned within ten (10) days of
receipt or the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected.
Shoppers Drug Mart and Lise Watier Cosmétiques, and their agents, are not responsible for technical,
computer, printing, distribution, or production errors and may terminate or withdraw any contest found to
contain such errors without liability and without notice, at their sole discretion.
