Composition
Chewable Tablets
Each tablet contains:
Active ingredient:
Simethicone 42 mg
Excipients:
Dextrates, aerosil 200, dextrose, magnesium stearate, mint
dry flavour, and aniseed dry flavour.
Drops
Each 1 mL contains:
Active ingredient:
Simethicone 41.2 mg
Excipients:
Methylcellulose,
xanthan gum, polyethylene
glycol,
potassium sorbate, methyl paraben, propyl paraben,
sacchann sodium, citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate,
banana green flavour, and purified water

Properties
Salinal is highly effective in relieving the discomfort and pa n due to gaseous
distention in the gastro-intestinal tract. Its active component. simethicone, is a
surface active agent. It acts as a dispersent of gas bubbles b reducing surface
tension, destroying thereby mucosal pockets of gas which ca se distress.
Indications
Salinal is indicated to alleviate the painful symptoms of excess gas In the digestive
tract. Salinal is also a useful adjunct In the treatment of many conditions, In
which the retention of gas may be a problem, including postoperative gaseous
distention.
The antitoarrunq property of Salina I can be utilized during gastroscopy and
bowel radiography to reduce gas shadow and enhance vis

Salina I Drops is mainly indica ed or Infants and babies to relieve oloa n9 and
flatulence resulting from feeding problems. Adults havlOg a ticulties in taking
tablets may prefer to use the drops form.
Dosage
Adults and children
Tablets: 1 - 2 tablets to be chewed 4 times a day, after meals and at
bedtime.
Drops: 1 - 2 mL 4 times a day, after meals and at bedtime.
For diagnostic purposes, 2 chewable tablets or 2 mL drops to be taken 3 times,
one day before the examination, and 2 tablets or 2 mL drops in the morning of
the day of examination
Infants and babies (below 2 years)
0.5 - 1 mL four times daily before feeds, or as directed by the physician.
The dosage can be mixed with infant food or other suitable liquid to ease
administration.

If you miss a dose
If on scheduled dosage regimen:
Take the missed dose as soon as possib e
If it is almost me for your next regular dose, wait until then and skip the
missed dose
Do not take two doses at the same time.
Contraindications
This preparation should be avoided by patients who are hypersensitive to
simethicone or to any other componen in i .

Pregnancy and lactation: This medicine s considered safe as it is not absorbed
into the body and IS not likely to cause problems.
