WOMEN AND NEWBORN HEALTH SERVICE King Edward Memorial Hospital CLINICAL GUIDELINES PHARMACY AND MEDICATION MEDICATION A-Z The information provided is for the use in Obstetrics and Gynaecology only Drug RANITIDINE Presentation Tablet: 150mg Tablet: 300mg Injection: 50mg/5mL WNHS Restrictions Oral: 300mg once daily OR 150mg once or twice daily IV: 50mg every 6 to 8 hours Dose Oral: Take with or without food IV injection: Dilute 50mg to 20mL with sodium chloride 0.9% and inject over 5 minutes Administration IV infusion: Dilute 50mg to 100mL with sodium chloride 0.9% and infuse over 15 to 20 minutes or over 120 minutes. May also be given as a continuous infusion.
