FAST FLEMISH SWAGE SYSTEM Wirop is pleased to introduce a new “Fast Flemish Swage” system. Flemish eye swaging is achieved with just two (2) simple and controlled swaging steps saving time and vastly improving productivity. The process is simple and effective and utilizes standard carbon steel sleeves available from Wirop as well as other manufacturers. The after swage dimensions of the swaged sleeves are the same as the after swage dimensions of sleeves swaged in the conventional methods. This swaging is not only faster and WIROP "FAST FLEMISH SWAGE" swaging more efficient but it greatly reduces instructions the possibility of over or under swaging the sleeve. In the first swage FIGURE A step, the sleeve cannot be over swaged because of the precise notching of the die; the second step allows a controlled closing of the dies to slightly less than full closure whereby the third and final step allows full close of the dies. The end result is a nearly smooth round swaged sleeve without the usual “wrinkles” one gets from the conventional swaging methods. Another simple dial but extremely useful function allows the die openings to be fixed to any desired amount of opening; the operator does not have to wait until the dies are fully open to (4) Turn the sleeve 90 degree again and close the dies completely as shown below in Figure E close them once again. Aluminum oval ferrules are swaged in just one swage step as the dies have cutting edges that cut off the excess flash. The fully “automatic” one button swage for Aluminum oval ferrules is a huge time saver. In the automatic mode the dies close and open with the push of a button. Furthermore, when FIGURE E the dies open the opening can be pre-set to just enough space to allow the swage sleeve to be removed, again saving time to insert the next sleeve to be swaged quickly and efficiently. Wirop swagers provide ultimate flexibility for the customer as it affords the customer to use the machine with other manufacturers’ dies. When ordering the machine, the type and make of the dies need to be specified for the correct die adapter to be used in these applications.
