TAKING CHARGE OF CLEAN POWER
Electronic equipment used in process control, data processing, communications and
strategic installations requires a reliable power supply to ensure uninterrupted operation.
In order to create areliable power supply, two separate feeds can be used to supply the load via the static switch. These
high speed switches boast a superior switching solution with a seamless connection to the backup power source. In the
event of one of the supplies failing, the load will automatically be transferred to the alternative supply.

OPERATING CONCEPT
Each static switch consists of a single back-to-back thyristor pair, with a total of 4 thyristors for each complete static switch.
Suitable control electronics enable correct firing and control of these thyristors, positioning them as two single phase
electronic switches.
The load is supplied via the A or B switch, depending on the position of the supply selector switch on the front panel.
Changing the position of the supply selector switch allows the user to select the preferable supply to be used. If one of the
supplies fails, the load is automatically transferred to the alternative supply.
