TESTRANSFO OPERATION
TESTRANSFO is NOT to be used on a live transformer.
Principle :
-Tests the most frequent
faults with a series of 18
tests.
-Tests internal protection
state.
Operation :
With the transformer disconnected from the network,
make the appropriate crocodile-clip connectIons to each
Phase, Neutral and Ground.
Push the
button to initialise TESTRANSFO.
Press the
button a second time to start the series of
18 consecutive tests.
The
TESTRANSFO gives the
result ‘Transformer OK’
or ‘Transformer in
Default’.
All the 18 tests must be
successful to consider
the transformer OK.
The
button is
pressed to
record tests
results for
later transfer
to a
computer.

TESTRANSFO is NOT to be used on a live transformer.
Disconnect the transformer with all safety procedures required.
Test procedure :
Important note : all high voltage and low voltage feeders of the transformer must
be disconnected during the tests.
TESTRANSFO automatically performs a sequence of tests on the 18 different
circuits shown on the right, checking for conformity with the expected result for
each of the following cases : Short Circuit, Open Circuit, Impedance and result
abnormality. The detailed test results can be viewed after the test by scrolling
trough the results list with the
button. They show each measurement against
3 criteria :
Short Circuit, Open Circuit, abnormal impedance value or response curve.
Notes :
-TESTRANSFO does not make an insulation test.
-In some cases, a short circuit between two low voltage phases may not
be detected (although the visual aspect of the transformer generally gives a good
indication of such a fault).
-Always make sure of the good quality of the connections for the
crocodile clamps : clean the dirt or the paint if necessary.
Standard :
NF EN 50082-1 : CEM
NF EN 61010-1 : Electrical safety.
