ISO 9001: 2000 Circuit Breakers Switch Disconnectors Disconnectors Earthing Switches Operating Devices Accessories MARK40 Vertical break disconnector 123, 245 and 420kV / 2500-4000A Catalogue No 01.04.02.EN 1. APPLICATION. Outdoor disconnectors switches type MARK40 are designed for application in the outdoor switchboards of high voltage. Disconnectors are used for metallic isolation systems by creating in open position a visible isolating distance. They are appropriate for switching small currents or currents when no significant change in voltage occurs across the terminals and can be operated in many types of high voltage switchgears. For earthing and short-circuiting disconnected plant section, each disconnector pole can be equipped with one or two earthing switches. 2. CHARACTERISTIC FEATURES. · good technical parameters; · quick assembling and easy to adjustment; · good anticorrosive cover (hot-dip zinc coating or stainless steel); · motor operating mechanism mounting under each disconnector pole possibilities; · high durability and reliability (2000 cycles); · insulator deflection compensation possibilities; 3. An example of an order B: Triple pole disconnector switch type MARK40-420/4000; 420kV, 4000A, 125/50kA without earthing switch. Equipped with motor operation unit type NSO80 and insulators type C8-1550 with leakage path 25mm/kV. 4. SERVICE CONDITIONS. Disconnecting switches type MARK40 are meant for operation outdoors in following parameters: · Ambient temperature: 314K (+40°C) · maximum up to 308K (+35°C) · average (over 24 h) 228K (-45°C) · minimum up to 1000 m · altitude above the sea level up to 700 Pa · wind pressure up to 10 mm · ice coating 100% · highest relative air humidity 5. COMPLIANCE WITH STANDARDS. Disconnector type MARK40 is outdoor vertical-break switches with two fixed and one rotating insulator column. They are manufactured in individually motor driven single-pole version. Triple-pole version is equipped in three motor-driven, where one works as a master. The framework is made from hot galvanized square profiles. The main circuit of a disconnector incorporates two contact heads with flat terminals and moving knife, made of aluminium tube. Both ends of the knife are fitted with silver-plated contact plates which form contact with springy silvered contact bars of the head. During final phase of closing the knife makes a rotation about the longitudinal axis. Both contact heads and the free-end of the contact knife are provided with suitable corona-shields. The main circuit of the earthing switch comprise a fixed tulip-like contact fastened to the contact head and a tubular aluminium knife. The knife is connected by means of flexible earthing lead and the bracket of operating mechanism with the post of supporting structure, provided with the earthing terminals. The moving parts of the operating mechanism and the operating mechanism are electrically separated from the main circuit so that they are prevented from carrying short-circuit current. During closing operation, the earthing knife ended with a spherical contact, first swangs out to vertical position and next, inserts axially into the tulip like contact on the contact head. The bars of tulip like contact are self-springing and shaped so as to assure a considerable increase of contact pressure due to the electrodynamics action of short-circuit currents. The operating mechanism of the earthing switch crosses the dead points in both extreme positions, preventing inadvertent opening or closing of the knife due to some external forces. The contact head is ended with the flat terminal which enables connection of both flexible (cable) and rigid (tubular) conductors leads. It is also provided with suitable corona-shields to reduce radio interference level. Page 2/8 ZWAE Sp. z o.o.
