Penstemon grandiflorus
Prairie Jewel®
This strain of penstemon is among the showiest of the
northern Great Plains. Developed by Denver native Mary
Anne Heacock, this plant is a standout in any low water
garden. The giant flowers come in a varied palate ranging
from white, rose pink, to purple with a base of silver tinged
leaves. Does not like overly moist soils and does well in
drought conditions.
